Just a few hours ago I was posting about my new beautiful table and not wanting the kids the touch it. Well, as we were finishing up dinner, Tanner threw up all over it! It's official~ it's a table for kids no matter how pretty and nice it is. Such is life.....

Thanks for your sweet comments on our blog!
It must be nice to get something new - I hope to have that experience some day. I can appreciate how exciting that must be and how you want to protect it.
When I look around my mom's house, I see nothing new or in great shape - after 6 kids, you can imagine. But what I do see is HOME and a place where kids are welcome and great memories exist.
Chalk up the "barf incident" to a "great memory."

SOOO funny!!! That SO reminds me of stuff in our house! A few years ago we needed a dresser for our room REALLY bad, so Jeff surprised me with one for my birthday. As he was setting up the mirror on top, he accidentally drilled through the back of mirror and totally scratched the surface of the mirror---just barely out of the box. I was livid! Now, every time I see it, I smile. It reminds me what's real.
PS. I've seen that table and all but drooled over it, IT'S GORGEOUS!!!
that's a beautiful table! And so sorry about the vomit. I was the same way when we got our new dining table. And 1 1/2 years later I'm still paranoid about the kids scratching or dinging it (it is black on top). I finally got tired of being the tablecloth and placemat Nazi and went out and ordered a glass table-top. It should be arriving this week and hopefully my anxieties can end!
Jenni - I am trying so hard not to laugh at the puke story, but it really is a good one - esp considering the timing of it all! :) Nice choice - it's a beauty! So fun to see you yesterday, too! Let's do it again next month!!
