Messy but Cute

These were taken a while ago, but I just had to post them. We had spaghetti one night for dinner and Jackson Loved it! As you can see from the pictures!

Check out the place mat, the cup, the table, the bib, the hands and how can you miss the mess on his face?!
How could someone this cute make this big of a mess? I thought we were past the messy baby stage?

Out of the mouth of babes

Here is a conversation that I had with Tanner yesterday in the car while running errands:

T: Mom, I think my beard it starting to grow (while stroking his chin).
Me: Really! That's pretty neat. So, are you going to start shaving now with dad in the morning?
T: No! I don't want to shave like dad.
M: Oh, well 4 year olds can't have beards, so if yours is growing you are going to have to start shaving.
T: Well, actually mom, I think it's just my body that I feel, not my beard.
M: Okay, when your beard starts growing let me know.
T: Okay.

I love my little guy so much! He is such a sweetie and loves to snuggle! I don't think anyone can make me laugh as much as he can! His favorite thing to say right now is~ "I know everything" or "I already knew that, remember, I know everything already."

Thanks for always being able to put a smile on my face Tanner! I love you!

Random Holiday

My calendar includes a lot the random/unknown holidays such as Early May Bank Holiday for the UK on May 5th, Canada Day on July 1st, and Grandparents Day on September 7th. Usually I just write over it with everything else I have going on that day. But my sister and I decided to actually do something to celebrate the day. My parents live in Temecula, CA while my sister lives in OR and we are here in UT~ which presented a little bit of a challenge. Here's how we handled it~

I printed out a bunch of pictures of my parents grandkids (including the ultra sound picture of baby Max), put them on colored paper cut into hearts, put sticks on them and mailed them to my moms sweet neighbor (who I love because they have kids the same age as mine). Then on Sunday she put them out all over my mom and dad's yard. So, when they walked out of their house to go to church they were greeted by their darling grandkids.

We are lucky enough to live fairly close to both Korby's mom and dad along with most of their great grandma's and grandpa's. We are so thankful for the wonderful influence and love that our children are blessed to enjoy from all of their grandparents! Happy Belated Grandparent's Day to all the grandparent's out there! We love you!

I don't have a picture of the finished product in my parents yard, but here are most of the hearts before they were mailed.

Rise and Shout.... the Cougars are out!!!

My dad flew up this weekend just to go to the BYU vs UCLA football game. It was supposed to be my dad, Korby and my brother John going to the game. However, John and his wife were moving this weekend, so I had the horrible task of taking his ticket for him~ boo hoo for me :D For those who do not follow college football~ BYU demolished UCLA with a 59-0 win!!!!

One of the 8 touchdowns that BYU made during the game!

We got VERY familiar with the BYU fight song and had a great time singing it each time~ we'll see how well we can talk tomorrow!

Yet another BYU touchdown! Go Cougs!!!

My dad and me at the game! I am so glad I was able to go! All of the fans making the signal for yet another ~BYU 1st Down!
The game was awesome and we had a great time! Quite different from the game last week that my sister and her husband went to! BYU Rocks!!!!

Here are some of the pictures from the rest of our trip to California. This should be the end of my slide show posts for a while. Enjoy...
